Οι Burning Sticks είναι μια ελληνική μπάντα η οποία παίζει μουσική που αναμιγνύει τα στυλ
της rock, pop και funk. Με ιδρυτή τον κιθαρίστα και τραγουδιστή Χρήστο
Ανδροβιτσανέα, η μπάντα σχηματίστηκε στα μέσα του 2009 με front-woman και τραγουδίστρια
τη Νάνσυ Συμεωνίδου, κιθαρίστα τον Γιώργο Σταυρουλάκη, μπασίστα τον Κωνσταντίνο Στάμου
και drummer τον Κωνσταντίνο Αναστασιάδη. Παρότι η μπάντα εστιάζεται κυρίως στη συγγραφή,
ενορχήστρωση και ηχογράφηση πρωτότυπου υλικού, οι ζωντανές της εμφανίσεις έχουν ως playlist
τόσο πρωτότυπο υλικό όσο και υλικό σύγχρονων γνωστών καλλιτεχνών το οποίο και εμπλουτίζουν
με τη δική τους μοναδική αισθητική.
Αυτή η αισθητική ήταν ένα από τα χαρακτηριστικά τα οποία έκαναν ιδιαίτερα θετική αίσθηση κατά
τη συμμετοχή των Burning Sticks στο ελληνικό X-Factor το οποίο και έδωσε στη μπάντα
μεγάλη τηλεοπτική προβολή και αναγνώριση. Οι κριτές του X-Factor έκαναν ιδαίτερη μνεία για
τις φωνητικές ικανότητες και εκφραστικότητα της Νάνσυ και έδωσαν τα εύσημά τους για την
ποιότητα του θεάματος της μπάντας επι σκηνής. Όπως έιπε και ο κύριος Λεβέντης, Αυτό είναι
ένα θέαμα για το οποίο θα πλήρωνα για να δω".
Εκτός από το X-Factor, οι Burning Sticks έχουν συμμετάσχει σε πολυάριθμα τηλεοπτικά shows
όπου έχουν ερμηνεύσει το πρωτότυπο υλικό τους, τόσο με ακουστικά όσο και με ηλεκτρικά
όργανα μεταξύ των οποίων και το MAD Day Live.
Οι Burning Sticks έχουν ηχογραφήσει το original single τους με τίτλο Last Drink το οποίο
και προβλήθηκε στον τελικό του X-Factor ενώ αυτή την περίοδο βρίσκονται σε περιοδεία για την
προβολή και προώθησή του. Οι Burning Sticks προγραμματίζουν την κυκλοφορία δίσκου τους για τις
αρχές της επόμενης χρονίας.

Bio:
The Burning Sticks are a Greek band playing music covering the broad spectrum of
the rock, pop and funk genre. Formed by guitarist and singer Chris
Androvitsaneas at the middle of 2009, the band features front-woman and singer
Nancy Symeonidou, guitarist George Stavroulakis, electric bassist Constantine
Stamou and drummer Constantine Anastasiadis. Although the band mainly focuses on
writing, arranging, rehearsing and recording original material, their live
performances consist of both originals and covers, the latter being spiced up
with the bands unique artistic taste.
This artistic taste was one of the things that were praised during the bands
participation on the Greek X-Factor music show which gave the band nation-wide
exposure and acclaim. X-Factor judges were very fond of Nancys voice for its
technical quality and expressiveness and gave credit for the bands live act.
Quoting Mr. Leventis (former managing director of Ant1 TV and Sony Music USA),
This is a live act that I am willing to pay for. However, X-Factor is not the
only TV exposure that the band has attained. The Burning Sticks were featured in
numerous TV shows where they performed acoustically and electrically their own
originals, including the show MAD Day Live which features Greeces most popular
pop and rock artists.
The Burning Sticks have recorded their original single Last Drink which was
featured at the Greek X-Factor show finals and are currently on tour for its
promotion. The band is planning for an album release early next year.
