Evridiki and Dimitris Korgialas, are coming to the 7Seas to amaze us with the ultimate show of ballads and dance hits, from pop-rock to electro music.
They both became known in Europe with their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 at Helsinki, representing Cyprus, with both of them having a long career on the Greek music scene. Evridiki as a solo singer and songwriter became popular in 1991 with her first hit. She has a very strong fan base and Dimitris Korgialas is being acclaimed as a composer, lyricist and performer, after 10 years of hard work on the music scene, and six albums.
Their latest CD is ‘Etsi Einai I Agapi’ (Evridiki-Korgialas) and the first single released rom this album is ‘Ase Me’. They are preparing their next video clip for ‘Thalassa’, another track from their new CD.
Evridiki, is a Cypriot rock, pop, and electro pop singer and song writer. She is best known in Europe for representing her home country, Cyprus, in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1992, 1994 and 2007 with the songs Teriazoume, Eimai Anthropos Ki Ego and Comme Ci, Comme Ça, respectively.
Born in Limassol, Cyprus, Evridiki was raised in the island's capital, Nicosia. While still at school, she studied music at the National Conservatory of Cyprus after which she was the first foreign student to be accepted at Le Studio des Variétés in Paris, France, where she studied music, theatre, and dancing. Afterwards she went to the Berklee College of Music in Boston, U.S. where she supplemented her musical studies with courses of harmony and instrumentation.In 2002, she performed Taptim in the musical The King and I, produced by Mimi Denisi with a very successful critical aclaim.
Overall, Evridiki is one of the most popular successful and best selling singers in Greece and Cyprus. She has worked with the most important personalities of the Greek music industry including George Theophanous, Vasilis Papakonstantinou, Giorgos Hatzinasios, Yannis Spanos, Marios Tokas, Dimitris Korgialas, Vangelis Dimitriadis, Christos Dantis, Natalia Germanou, Eleni Peta, Antonis and Yannis Vardis, Stelios Rokkos, and Sakis Rouvas.
She was awarded the Singer of the Year 2007 in Nicosia and is one of the very few Greek singers who has stayed faithful to the pop/rock music genre.
Dimitris Korgialas
Dimitris Korgialas was born in Nafpaktos and grew up in Athens. At the age of 15 he created his first new wave music band , “Media Vox”. He started his career professionally after meeting Nikos Ziogalas with whom he was a session player. In 1997 he signed his first discography contract followed by 5 CDs, most of the songs composed by him. In 2003 he started touring Greece with Evridiki and had success with the song ‘Mia Fora’ which was also recorded in English and French and won the award of Best Rock Song and Best Duet of 2004’ at the first MAD Music Video Awards. He has also performed with Anna Vissi at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
He has also recorded a Greek cover version of Tainted Love, the hit single of the Finnish pop band Kwan. The single was a big summer hit in Greece and is included on the Finnish band’s album.
In 2008, he and Evridiki also composed the theme song of the Junior Eurovision 2008 Fun in the sun.
Ο Δημήτρης Κοργιαλάς γεννήθηκε στην Ναύπακτο στις 3 Αυγούστου του 1971. Μεγάλωσε στην Αθήνα .Με την μουσική άρχισε να ασχολείται στα 15 του ,όπου έφτιαξε και το πρώτο του συγκρότημα ,τους Media Vox και έπαιζαν new wave.
Επαγγελματικά με την μουσική άρχισε να ασχολείται μετά από την γνωριμία του με τον Νίκο Ζιώγαλα .Όπου ο Δημήτρης Κοργιαλάς θα παίζει στις συναυλίες του Νίκου Ζιώγαλα ως Session , χωρίς όμως να παραμελεί της δικές του μπάντες .
Το 1997 ένας φίλος του θα πάει να δώσει ένα demo στην Universal .Όπου και θα υπογράψει συμβόλαιο για την πρώτη του δισκογραφική δουλεία .
Το 1998 κυκλοφορεί η πρώτη του δισκογραφική δουλεία με τίτλο προς τα έξω. Τα εννέα από τα δέκα τραγούδια τα υπογράφει ο ίδιος ενώ υπάρχει και μια διασκευή του κομματιού Μην υποκρίνεσαι από τον Νίκο Ζιώγαλα .Στην συνέχεια κάνει εμφανίσεις μαζί με τον Κώστα Λειβαδά και τους Παζλ.
Το Δεκέμβριο του 2000 με την ιδιότητα του τραγουδιστή και του συνθέτη κυκλοφορεί η δεύτερη του δισκογραφική δουλεία με τίτλο Πέτα ψυχή μου .Την μουσική στα έντεκα από τα δώδεκα τραγούδια την υπογράφει ο Δημήτρης Κοργιαλάς ενώ κάνει διασκευή στο κομμάτι Ξέχνα του Μανώλη Φάμελλου .Για την ολοκλήρωση του άλμπουμ του γράφει ένα κομμάτι ο Νίκος Ζίωγαλας και του δίνουν τους στοίχους του ο Γιάννης Δαλαμάγκας .ο Κώστας Στρατηγόπουλος και ο ίδιος .Ο Δημήτρης Κοργιαλάς ετοιμάζεται για την παρουσία του δίσκου του και για μια σειρά από συναυλίες στο πλευρό του Νίκου Ζίωγαλα..
Το 2003 μετά από τρία χρόνια δισκογραφικής απώλειας πραγματοποιεί συναυλίες με την Ευρυδίκη σε όλη την Ελλάδα και ετοιμάζει την νέα του δισκογραφική δουλεία με τίτλο Ας τα δύσκολα σε μένα σε μουσική Δημήτρη Κοργιαλά και σε στοίχους της Εβίτα Σκουρλέτη ,του Γιάννη Δαλαμάγκα ,του Δημήτρη Καρρά και του ιδίου .Το άλμπουμ περιλαμβάνει και δύο συμμετοχές .Μία της Ευρυδίκης στο «Τα σημάδια σου » και η άλλη της Κατερίνας Μουτσάτσου στο «Μια φορά».Το τραγούδι "Μια φορά" κυκλοφόρησε μάλιστα και σε αγγλική-γαλλική version με τίτλο "Juste une fois"! Τον χειμώνα του 2003 θα εμφανίζεται στο πλευρό του Νίκου Ζιώγαλα και του Γιώργου Αλουπογιάννη. .
Στη συνέχεια ο Δημήτρης Κοργιαλάς θα βρίσκεται μαζί με την Ευρυδίκη στο Συρμό και αργότερα συναυλίες σε όλη την Ελλάδα. Το καλοκαίρι του 2004 το τραγούδι "Μια φορά" επιλέχθηκε από την ΕΒΓΑ και "έντυσε" την τηλεοπτική καμπάνια η οποία τρέχει ακόμη και σήμερα! Την ίδια εποχή το τραγούδι "Μια φορά" κερδίζει δυο βραβεία (Καλύτερο Rock τραγούδι & Καλύτερο Ντουέτο της χρονιάς) στα πρώτα Video Music Awards που διοργάνωσε το MAD TV!
Το 2005 για πρώτη φορά αναλαμβάνει εξολοκλήρου την μουσική για την δισκογραφική δουλειά της Ευρυδίκης με τίτλο «Στο ίδιο βαγόνι» ,ενώ έδωσε κι ένα τραγούδι στο album του Σάκη Ρουβά "Σ έχω ερωτευθεί ενώ παρ΄΄αλληλα ετοιμάζει την επόμενη δισκογραφική του δουλεία με τίτλο «Η μέρα φεύγει».Όπου την μουσική την υπογράφει ο ίδιος και στα έντεκα κομμάτια και του στοίχους γράφει η Ρεβέκκα Ρούσση , η Εβίτα Σκουρλέτη ,ο Γιάννης Ρεντούμης ,ο Θάνος Παπανικολάου και ο ίδιος . Στις 22 Νοεμβρίου ο Δημήτρης Κοργιαλάς μαζί με την Ευρυδίκη θα παίξει στην συναυλία των Aroptygma Berzenk στην Γερμανία . Τον Δεκέμβριο του 2005 αρχίζουν οι εμφανίσεις του μαζί με την Άννα Βίσση ,τους Going through και την Δέσποινα Ολυμπίου στον Βοτανικό.
Το 2006 τελειώνοντας της εμφανίσεις του στο Βοτανίκο , συμμετέχει στη συναυλία της Άννας Βίσση στο Royal Albert Hallστο Λονδίνο . Το καλοκαίρι θα πραγματοποιήσει συναυλίες μαζί με την Ευρυδίκη και τον Μιχάλη Εμιρλή .
