J Marie hails from north London and has been singing for as long as she can remember. After training in performing arts she appeared in various TV shows including Casualty and London Burning. With her outstanding singing voice and range she then decided to follow a career in music.
She worked in a two female groups and collaborated with Nile Rogers, Narada Michael Walden and Jeff Beck before deciding that her own music was the direction she wanted to take.
She teamed up with music producer/writer Phil Da Costa (The Yeah You's, Vanessa Mae, Rubylux) and together they have been co-writing and developing a set of brilliant songs which have been described as a mix of power-pop and rock.
Over the last 7 months she has performed with her five piece live band at The Half Moon, Soho Revue Bar, Ginglik, The Water Rats, The Cobden Club, Studio Valbonne, Zigfrid Von Underbelly and the YouTube Zeitgeist Europe Event receiving excellent reviews.
Sam at the Soho Revue Bar was so impressed by her performance he immediately asked her back to headline in January ‘09. She received equal enthusiasm from the management of the Half Moon who are setting up high profile support slots for J Marie.

J Marie's two most recent songs 'Big Noise' and 'Kissing A Porn Star' have had plays on BBC Radio Essex Introducing, Harborough Fm and several other radio stations including NerveCast Radio and FYI Radio.
DJ Dave Charles of Harborough Fm interviewed J Marie live on air and next month sees her performing a live acoustic session on his show.
She is currently enjoying interest from management companies and the A&R community have started to take note.
