Kelly Dickson & Mamafeelgood

Kelly Dickson is a consummate performer and her funk delivery recalls that of Marlena Shaw on her late 60s Cadet jazz recordings. Born in Northern Ireland and raised in the North of England, she knew from an early age that she would make a career in music. Kelly’s voice has been described by Jamie Cullum as "A highly individual, mature voice with very subtle power that creeps up on you". Kelly recently released her second New York jazz recording ‘Doodlin’’ and is a frequently in demand performer and session singer on the London scene, she is also currently in the process of writing material for a debut album of her own originals songs.

Retro funk band Mamafeelgood is a rhythm section consisting of some of the hottest musicians on the UK music scene. Expect outstanding guitar playing from Werner Kristiansen, incredible soulful sounds from multi instrumentalist Peter Billington on bass and keyboards and hard-hitting grooves from Richard Barr on drums. Kelly performs regularly with Mamafeelgood and their combined working credits include aristists such as Corrine Bailey Rae, Gwen Stefani, The Style Council's Steve White and Mick Talbot, Kid Creole and Athena to name but a few.

As well as holding a residency at London's première jazz club Ronnie Scott’s Kelly Dickson and Mamafeelgood perform at many prestigious venues and festivals all across Europe.
